Trip to Dallas

Toya and I took the kids to Dallas for one last mini vacation before school started back. We went to Six Flags on Friday evening and then we went shopping and swimming on Saturday. The trip was too short but it was a nice break. I was lucky enough to see my Uncle Danny, Aunt Lynn and cousin, Mike. We went to eat at Papasito's, my favorite chain restaurant in the world. All in all, we had a great time in the Dallas area.

Jazz Girls Reunion '06

This past June I was fortunate enough to attend my fifth Jazz Girls Reunion! These are my girls. I love them and miss them so much!!! We all worked together at Jazz in Lubbock during college. We managed to stay in touch and having been successful at that, we try to get together every year. We have a ball and we act so incredibly dumb. This is one yearly trip I never want to miss. Miss you all!!

Here we are acting like nuts at the Red Fez in Austin. We hung out here most of the evening and all came out in one piece, but barely!!

We stayed at a house backed up to the Guadalupe River. It was amazing and we hung outside most of the time. We even ventured out in to the river at very late hours. The entire time was a blast but my vote for the best time was on the slip and slide!!

I know my mom and Toya are so proud of me in this picture but I must share. I am 35 years old and I have never participated in the beer bong thing...well, mark this off my list of things I need to do before I die! I didn't even throw up!!

Memorial Day with the Family

Memorial Day Weekend was spent on the golf course and with my family. I had a great time hanging with my aunts, uncles and parents on the links. It was an added treat when Wendy and Shannon invited us over for burgers on Memorial Day.

My new friends in Amarillo, Tish Warner, Cari Ash and April Taylor, surprised me with a Hummber Limo on my 35th birthday. We had so much fun. We had shots at Applebee's and hung out at Hummer's. What a perfect birthday celebration!! Thanks girls!!
