Kristin's Basketball Game

I cannot believe 18 years ago this time of year, Kristin was a newborn at my basketball games and now she is a Senior and I am watching her play. I was so proud of her this night...she posts up and she is the smallest girl on the court. Her girl never got her hands on the ball. I had to hold back my tears about four different times. I am going to be a wreck at her graduation! She is such a good girl overall and I couldn't have a sweeter niece. Love you, Tin! (The lighting in the gym was just horrible so I had to make all the pictures black and white.)

Snow Bear

Hays and Kellyn worked so hard on this "Snow Bear." Hays is such a good dad. He had been out in the cold, windy and snowy weather all day long at work but that didn't deter him. Hays and Kellyn got dressed and worked for a couple of hours on this guy. He is so cute!! He already melted of course but he was fun while he lasted. There were several cars that stopped to look at him.

Blaze had no desire to go outside. He isn't a huge fan of the snow. In this picture, he is running from me because I told him he needed to get his snow boots on and go outside to take a picture with the Snow Bear. He refused because he was too wrapped up in the Wii game and his PJs. He is so like me...as soon as he gets home from the babysitter's, he wants to get comfy.

I miss my friends from Lubbock and Slaton!!

We were celebrating Averi and Kerry's Birthdays plus the opening of Keith's new bar, The Office. I love this picture of Kerry ~ she had a blast that night. Come to think of it, I am pretty sure we all did!

I am one day late blogging about Averi's birthday and today is Doug's birthday so what the heck? I will post 'em together. You don't mind do you, Averi? Happy 29th to Averi (you only get one picture because I am mad that you aren't 30 yet!) and happy 50-something Dougie. Love you both!!

Amy's Having a Girl!!

One of my best friends, Amy Smith, is about 4 months pregnant and just found out she is having a baby girl. She has one child, Carter Truman, who will be five in March. He is very excited about having a baby sister. Congratulations to Adam and Amy Smith!! How exciting!

9 Inches of the White Stuff

When it started snowing around 11pm Friday night, it didn't quit until 6pm Saturday night. We don't have an official snowfall but the airport got 8.5 inches and the news guys said South of I-40 got even more...so my guess is 9 inches. Some areas even got 10 and 12 inches. It is such a mess up here in Amarillo!! It was pretty while it lasted but I am ready for it to melt and get dry again. Where is Spring?

Move Over J.T.

Okay, so I saw a preview for a talk show today and saw where this man was going to be on the show. I completely forgot about him when we were picking our top 5...I change my mind immediately and J.T. is off the list now and Eddie Cibrian is a close second to Brad Pitt. Anyone in agreement with me?

Wide Awake

Top 5 things to do when you can't go back to sleep...(I have been awake since 2:30 and it's now 5:00)

#5 Say prayers that you forgot to say before you feel asleep

#4 Think about all the things you can't control at 3am

#3 Turn on the TV and watch a re-run of North Carolina Basketball that you already watched on Saturday night

#2 Turn on new iPod alarm clock (it was on super loud and Blaze jumped) to Joss Stone and toss and turn some more

And the number one thing you do when you can't go back to sleep...

Did you know?

My blogging friends have a new topic this week...as you may recall, last week we posted our top 5 hot men and this week we are posting ~ THREE THINGS YOU MAY OR MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT ME! I think most of my blogging friends know these things so I may edit this later and come up with something a little more creative but this is all I could think of for now.

My very first job was making funnelcakes at The Funnelcake

Factory at the Lubbock South Plains Mall. Funny, huh?

I played against and with Sheryl Swoopes. She and I were

on the same summer league team and we had a blast together.

We played against eachother from Jr. High through our Sr. year

in high school. After she got famous, she developed a serious

attitude so when I would see her in the mall or something, she

would hardly speak. Come to think of it, she always had an

attitude...she flipped off our crowd after we beat them one game!

This may not be all that interesting BUT it was one of my favorite

experiences of my life. I got to ride in my CEOs private jet

with my one of my docs, Joaquin Martinez and his wife, J'Hon.

J'Hon just happens to be one of my best friends in Amarillo.

That might not have happened had we not gotten the chance to

experience this together. I also got to ride in the cockpit

during the landing. We had fabulous champagne and our

very own flight attendant. I hope I get at least one more ride.

Amazing!!

On a Lighter Note

Okay, so Caren and family still need your prayers but I thought it was important to go to bed on a good note. I got Blaze out of the bathtub and I am sorry, but how freakin' cute is he? In the first picture, he is running like mad and saying, "no, don't take my pictuw!" and then I said, "I'll get you a bedtime snack if you let me take your picture." Well, I have always been good at bribery...I AM in sales for goodness sakes. (just kidding!) He didn't stop from there. Notice the last picture where he is doing the booty dance...wonder where he gets it?
